Promotion video Twinning North Macedonia
The National Academy is leading partner in the EU-Twinning project ‘Strengthening Budget Planning, Execution and Internal Control Functions’. This project is executed in North-Macedonia, together with our co-partners: the Ministries of Finance of Croatia, Latvia and Bulgaria.
This project with a running time of three years and a budget of 3,7 million Euro, started on 1 February 2020. Due to Covid-19 measures. The execution of this project is, until this moment, completely online.
On Tuesday 23 March the Minister of Finance of North Macedonia, the ambassadors of the EU Commission and The Netherlands, and our Dutch project leader of the National Academy Jan van Tuinen presented online the progress of the project to the Macedonian public, sent from the Europe House in Skopje. During this presentation our ambassador Dirk Jan Kop emphasized the great importance that the Netherlands attaches to the accession of North-Macedonia to the EU and the recent accession to NATO. The ambassador thanked our Ministry and the National Academy for their hard work in assisting North Macedonia in the development of Public Finance.
