New book publication: The art of public financial management in the Netherlands

The National Academy for Finance and Economics is pleased to share a new publication: a book on the Dutch approach in public financial management.

Many experts from different relevant Dutch institutions have contributed to the content of the book, among others experts from the Ministry of Finance and other ministries, the Court of Audit and the House of Representatives.

Each chapter describes a specific topic and gives detailed insights, including fiscal policy, performance-based budgeting, risk management,
evaluation framework, internal audit, the role of the Netherlands Court of Audit and parliamentary oversight in public finances.

The authors have shared the latest development in their field. We hope that everyone who is interested in the Dutch model can benefit from the comprehensive insights in this book, and hopefully it can contribute and inspire to further strengthen the public financial management in their country.
