Shiraka Training Programme, 11th edition in Dubai
The Shiraka Training Programme on Public Financial Management (PFM) for the MENA region was held from 5 – 10 September in Dubai. It was the 11th edition of the PFM training programme organized by the National Academy for Finance and Economics.

Government officials from Ministries of Finance and Courts of Audit from six different countries were able to travel to Dubai, meet their colleagues in person and completed their PFM training. Dubai was selected as hosting city for the first time, as currently it is the most convenient location for international travelers. The programme was complemented by a presentation of guest speaker Ms Mona Bajman, Director of Subsidies Budget Division of the Department of Finance of the Government of Dubai.

Certification ceremony
The participants were awarded their graduation certificate in an official ceremony by the deputy Consul-General of the Netherlands in Dubai, Mr. Maarten Froger.
